FYI:
Microflex 2240 PDA with the CF8385PN1 card also crashes and exhibits the same problems as the other units mentioned above. "Remembers" an access point even when out of range, crashes with no errors if out of range, etc. WFF 2.2.3 installed.

ok i'll try on my dell axim x50v with the wm5 upgrade. Should be close enough to a x51 and i'll see if I get the same slowdown.

Hi, what version are you running? This is supposed to be fixed in 2.2.3 which I released last night.

Hello all!

The problem i have, is when i try to set up my GPS device in WFFF, the PDA runs so slow its impossible to reset it....so a soft reset is required.
If i set the GPS to NONE, i can use my PDA as normal and scan for access points.....So really its just with the GPS that im having problems.

The system i am using is:
Dell Axim X51v with BTgps74r

After 8 weeks. I have my A636 back and repaired.
I tried sniffi from http://www.pontisoftware.com/
this works great on the a636

I think hitchhiker makes an ad hoc network so that is really just the same as what RMK said to do.

Wifufofum crashes on a A636N:

1. If you start it and no active AP is in range
2. If no AP is in range and you press the Menu tab (file tab is ok)

Solution (a or b):

a) start Wififofum near some active AP and do NOT touch the menu tab.
b) Start Hichhiker in the Background, it will create a fake AP entry and everything will work well.

PS: And select "agressive scan" in the scan options.

I found simply workaround for this problem, if we create ad-hoc connection with any computer and connect to this network we may use WiFiFoFum without crash even if this ad-hoc connection isn't available when we start WiFiFoFum.
IMHO this is much simplier then starting WiFiFoFum when we are near any AP.

Sorry I still have no clue why these 2 PDAs are not behaving like normal. I might have to buy one to fix it. If anyone spots one on ebay.co.uk let me know.
